Getting started
Is GiftCycles really free?
Yes — completely free for families. Create an account, add your children, and build as many giftlists as you like. There are no hidden fees or premium tiers.
Do gifters need to create an account?
No. Friends and family can browse any giftlist and claim a gift without ever signing up. They just need the link you share with them.
How do I share a giftlist?
Every child has a unique link (e.g. giftcycles.com/giftlist/your-lookup-code). Share it via WhatsApp, email, or any messaging app. The link works on any device with no login required.
Privacy & safety
Can gifters see who else has claimed a gift?
No. Gifters only see whether a gift is available or already claimed — never who claimed it. Identities are kept private until after the occasion if you choose to reveal them.
Is my child's personal information safe?
We take privacy seriously. Your child's full name and date of birth are only visible to you. The public giftlist only shows their first name and the gifts you've added.
Who can see my giftlist?
Anyone with the link can view the giftlist. If you want to restrict access, you can turn off the public lookup at any time from your Settings.
Managing lists
Can I add gifts from any shop?
Yes. You can add gifts from any retailer — Amazon, John Lewis, Smyths, Etsy, or any website. Simply paste the product URL and we'll fetch the details automatically.
Can I manage lists for more than one child?
Absolutely. You can add as many children as you like, each with their own profile and multiple occasions (birthday, Christmas, Eid, Easter, and more).
What happens if a claimed gift isn't purchased?
Claims have a deadline. If a gifter doesn't follow through by the deadline, the claim expires automatically and the gift becomes available for someone else to claim.
Can I update or remove gifts after sharing the list?
Yes. You can add, edit, or remove gifts at any time. Gifters will see the updated list the next time they open the link.
Notifications
Will I know when a gift has been claimed?
Yes. You'll receive an email notification as soon as a gift is claimed, so you always know what's been reserved without having to check the app.
Do gifters get a reminder before their deadline?
Yes. Gifters receive a confirmation email when they claim a gift, including the purchase deadline. This helps them remember to complete the purchase in time.
Can I turn off email notifications?
You can manage your notification preferences from the Settings page at any time.
